One may ask, what is the purpose of the OASIS Ministry? Well, our purpose is to encourage and equip seniors to grow in their walk with God by living life according to God’s purpose and principles from the Holy Bible. And you also may ask, what are these biblical principles? Psalm 71: 17-18 tells us that God taught us from our youth, and we should declare His wondrous deeds even when we are old and have gray hair. God also instructed us to declare His strength to this generation. In other words, the Psalmist emphasized his longevity of discipleship, and so does the OASIS Ministry. The Psalmist learned from God in his youth and was still proclaiming his wondrous works (71:17). Therefore, like the Psalmist, we pray that God would not abandon us when we are old and gray. Therefore, we too long to see for this generation to know and to serve the Lord (71:18). The OASIS Ministry focuses on individuals and couples 60+ in age, provides social interaction, service, support, and spiritual growth.
